Authors submitting manuscripts to the BRICS Journal of Applied Mathematics and Engineering Sciences (BJAMES) should carefully follow these guidelines to ensure an efficient editorial and peer-review process.
Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English, present original work, and should not have been published or submitted elsewhere. As BJAMES follows a Double-Blind Peer Review process, the main manuscript should not contain author-identifying information.
1. Title Page
The Title Page should be submitted separately and include:
- Article Title: Concise and informative.
- Author Information: Full name, affiliation, country, institutional email, and ORCID iD, if available.
- Corresponding Author: Name and complete contact details.
- Funding: Details of financial or institutional support, where applicable.
- Conflict of Interest: Relevant financial or personal interests.
- Acknowledgements: Contributions that do not qualify for authorship.
- Ethics Approval and Consent: Where applicable.
- Study Registration: Registration details, where applicable.
- Manuscript Information: Word count and number of tables and figures.
- Cover Letter: Confirmation of originality and exclusive submission.
2. Abstract and Keywords
Each manuscript should include a concise abstract followed by 3–5 keywords. The abstract should briefly present the purpose, methodology, major findings, and conclusions of the study.
For research articles, a structured abstract covering Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion is recommended. Other manuscript types may use a structured or unstructured abstract appropriate to their content.
3. Manuscript Structure
The manuscript should generally include the following sections, as applicable:
Introduction
Present the research background, problem statement, research gap, objectives, and significance of the study.
Methodology
Describe the research design, mathematical or computational methods, data sources, analytical procedures, models, algorithms, software, and other relevant details necessary to understand the study.
Results
Present the main mathematical, computational, experimental, or statistical findings clearly using tables and figures where appropriate.
Discussion and Conclusion
Interpret the findings in relation to existing research, discuss implications and limitations, and highlight the main contribution and possible directions for future research.
4. References
Authors should cite relevant and reliable scholarly sources and maintain consistency between in-text citations and the reference list. DOIs should be included where available.
5. Tables, Figures, and Equations
- Number tables and figures consecutively.
- Provide clear titles and captions.
- Ensure figures are legible and of appropriate quality.
- Define abbreviations and symbols where necessary.
- Present mathematical equations using clear and consistent notation.
- Obtain permission for copyrighted material where required.
6. Units and Abbreviations
Use internationally recognized units and standard scientific terminology. Define abbreviations at their first occurrence and use them consistently throughout the manuscript.
7. Manuscript Types
BJAMES accepts various scholarly contributions, including:
- Original Research Articles
- Review Articles
- Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses
- Mathematical and Computational Modelling Studies
- Engineering Research Articles
- Short Communications
- Technical/Methodological Contributions
