About the Journal
Aims and Scope
The BRICS Journal of Stochastic Engineering aims to advance knowledge and foster innovation by publishing high-quality research articles, reviews, and methodological contributions that apply stochastic models and probabilistic approaches to engineering systems and processes. The journal serves as a platform for the dissemination of original work that explores uncertainty, randomness, and probabilistic modeling in the analysis, design, and operation of engineering structures, materials, systems, and processes.
Scope
The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:
Development and application of stochastic models in various branches of engineering, such as civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical, and environmental engineering.
Theoretical, computational, and experimental studies addressing uncertainty quantification, reliability analysis, risk assessment, and stochastic optimization in engineering contexts.
Research on stochastic systems, stochastic differential equations, random processes, probabilistic design, data-driven stochastic methods, and machine learning under uncertainty.
Multidisciplinary applications where stochastic methods intersect with engineering—such as in smart infrastructure, materials engineering, control systems, signal processing, and finance-inspired engineering solutions.
Reviews, case studies, and methodological advances that illustrate the state-of-the-art or push the boundaries of stochastic engineering as a discipline.
The journal is open to contributions that bridge theory and practice, providing insights relevant to both academics and practitioners working with complex engineering systems influenced by randomness and uncertainty
